PMCA 1234: Fourth Wednesday Wee Read

Drag Queen Story Hour!

Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. Find inspiration in the woven works of Judy Chicago’s Birth Project: Born Again, and weave a wand out of sparkly pipe cleaners to create a magical accessory that goes with every outfit.

Created by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions in San Francisco, DQSH now happens regularly in LA, New York, San Francisco, and all over the world!

Wee Read: My Princess Boy by Cheryl Kilodavis and Suzanne DeSimone, and Annie’s Plaid Shirt by Stacy B. Davis and Rachael Balsaitis.

This free event is presented as part of our PMCA 1234 monthly programming.
Recommended for children ages 2-5. Caregivers must accompany children.
Museum open early for Wee-Read participants only.
