The Ather 450 is a domestic electric bike and is manufactured by Ather Energy based in Bangalore. If you need a longer-range bike than the aforementioned Ather 450, then the Revolt RV 400 is a great solution. This electric-powered motorcycle has a lithium-ion battery that provides a range of about 156 km.
The electric drive unit has a power of 3Kw which is pretty good. If you run out of battery during the day, you won’t have to wait long for it to fully recharge. Thanks to fast charging technology, the battery will be ready in about 3.5 to a maximum of 4 hours. However, in addition to these features, we liked the Artificial Intelligence the most and this is actually the first motorcycle manufactured in India with this technology.

5. Okinawa i-Praise
Need more range? No problem, especially not with the i-Praise electric two-wheeler by Okinawa. This great motorcycle offers you 160 to 180 km of single battery charge. You may think that it may take a long time to recharge the battery to get it ready, but this isn’t the case here.
With fast charging technology, it only takes 2 to 3 hours to charge the Li-ion battery up to 100%. The maximum power of the drive unit is 2500 Watts. In terms of additional features, Okinawa i-Praise is equipped with truly fantastic technologies such as vehicle status, Battery Health Tracker, Geo-Fencing, SOS Notifications, GPS and trip information features.
If you think Okinawa i-Praise is the right machine for you, you’ll have to break the piggy bank and spend Rs. 1.14 to Rs. 1.17 lakh depending on the version you want to drive.
4. Yo Xplor
How about a classically designed bike. The Yo Xplor really resembles the typical non-electric motorcycles most commonly ridden in India. Therefore, we believe that as such, it could be the first choice for many people.
Also, the price is quite affordable and it is currently possible to find Yo Xplor for around Rs. 38,978. As for the drive, there is a 250W electric motor powered by a 33 Ah VRLA battery. At first glance, the multi-reflector headlight and telescopic suspension stand out. Also, the weight of this two-wheeler is only 86 Kg, and the maximum weight of the person, together with the other load, can be no more than 75 Kg. This can be a problem if you have to carry more cargo.
Also, we need to add that the single charge battery has a maximum range of 70 km and it takes an average of 7 hours to fully recharge. We almost forget that YO Xplor is available in as many as four colors – red, blue, white and black.
3. Ather 340
Another great electric motorcycle by Ather Energy is the Ather 340. Compared to the previous model from this manufacturer, the 340 is cheaper and can be found at a price of Rs 1.13 lakh.
When it comes to a power unit, the Ather 340 is powered by a 1.92 kWh lithium-ion battery that can produce 20 Nm of torque. The maximum range with a 100% charged battery is 60 km while the maximum speed that the Ather 340 can reach is 70 km/h. Acceleration up to 40 km/h can be achieved in 5.1 seconds.
In terms of additional features and technologies, we can say that they are pretty similar to the Ather 450. So, there is a large touchscreen, satellite navigation, the ability to connect to your smartphone and of course fast charging.
2. Hero Electric Flash LA
In the end, we decided to add two more cheap electric motorcycles because we believe that they are quite good for that price. One of the cheapest on our list is Flash LA by Hero Electric.
The current price of this two-wheeler is around Rs 39,550 which is quite affordable. Inside is a 250-watt electric motor powered by a 48-volt 20 Ah VRLA battery that has fast charging technology. The only thing that may be a problem is the slightly smaller range of 50 km for a 100% charged battery. Also, a power unit takes as much as 8 hours to recharge. However, the positives of Flash LA such as digital speedometer, crash guard and telescopic suspensions cannot be ignored.
Also, a top speed of 25 km/h means that this electric bike is suitable for beginners because machines with this speed don’t require a driver’s license.
1. Avan Motors Xero Plus
If you have a little more money, it may be a better choice to buy Xero Plus by Avan Motors. This electric bike is currently priced at Rs. 46,900 to Rs. 66,900 (depending on the version) which may be a best-buy option especially if other features are considered. So, you can choose between two battery-different versions. One unit can offer a range of up to 60 km, while the more expensive version has a range of 110 km.
Common to these is the top speed of 45 km/h and that the power unit takes between 2 and 4 hours to fully recharge. The power of the electric motor is 800 Watts. In terms of accessories and technology, there are utility boxes, safety stand, disc brakes and of course, fast charging technology.
